Holiday Cheer
My Substack is about setting God through the hard moments in life. I don’t really feel like spending a few days before Christmas talking about something in my life that wasn’t the most pleasant experience. I want to focus more on how pleasant Christmas can be, even when it may not go the way that you desire.
A big example that comes into my mind is how people might feel if they don’t get presents on Christmas. Just imagine how much worse Christmas would be without family though. This is actually making me think of a family I know with 20 people in it (2 parents, 18 kids). They all get everyone gifts. That’s a lot of gifts to get on Christmas. Now here’s the question. Do you need that many gifts on Christmas, or would you be happy with just a few… or maybe none?
I hope that you all have a merry Christmas. Remember, Christmas isn’t about the presents. It’s supposed to be about Jesus. Even if you have to spend Christmas alone, you are still able to enjoy the true meaning of Christmas. I hope that you guys get to spend a wonderful Christmas with your family though.
