Testimony Tip 4
Something that I’ve been trying to bring up lately is that all testimonies are a wonderful gift from God. There is value in both the easy and the hard moments in life. Keeping those in mind, I hope you realize how meaningful it is to make sure that you tell the truth about your testimony. God gave you your testimony so that it can be used to help lead others to Him.
Don’t try to make up or exaggerate your own testimony in order to make it sound more like you want it to be. Are you one of those people who thinks they have a boring testimony? Sounds like there are a lot of bad things that God has protected you from. You know, a lot of people out there might be struggling with faith due to how hard they feel like life is. Having a story that shows God’s willingness to protect His people could help many people. It could help some people more than a dramatic testimony would. Also, there’s nothing wrong with having that kind of testimony. God doesn’t give any testimonies that He doesn’t want shared. God loves every kind of testimony that leads to Him.
Are you one of those people who feels like their testimony is too depressing? Hopefully those are moments that you have been able to learn from. If you’ve learned from them, perhaps you can help others learn from them too… or help them learn how to learn from their own lives.
There are multiple other ways that someone might feel about their testimony. These are just two opposite sides of the spectrum. These are very broad categories. However you feel about your testimony though is up to you. I just hope you realize the value in telling the truth about your testimony rather than lying, exaggerating, minimizing, etc. No matter what your testimony is, you can at least know that God gave you a testimony that’s just for you. God loves the testimony that He gave you.
If you’re not a Christian, I hope I have helped you realize the value in listening to other people’s testimonies and, if you ever do decide to become a Christian, welcome to the family of Christ.
I’d encourage all of you to eventually create an honest testimony to share to the world. God gave you a story. Now give that story to the world.
